ICT Manager


ICT Manager- Start Date As Soon As Possible

LBR6 FTE £32,922, this role is Pro-rata term time only



We are a modern school and we pride ourselves in being highly adaptable, using technology to diversify our pupils’ learning and make our support systems as robust as they can be. As our ICT Manager, you will be an essential member of our team, overseeing the daily operations, setup, upkeep, accessibility, and safety of our ICT network. This will involve delivering a blend of initial and secondary user support, managing both hardware and software systems. Through your expertise you will deliver an IT support service that is efficient, productive, and flexible to evolving needs. Your efforts will help us to better support the vulnerable young people in our community.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • The ability to self-manage, organise, and prioritise tasks and work under pressure

  • A demonstrable track record of balancing priorities and working to strict timescales to deliver results on time and to a high quality

  • Flexibility and adaptability

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft products, Windows Server, SharePoint and other desktop related software products

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, backed by a clear, analytical approach to problem solving

  • A minimum of two years' experience of carrying out a similar, client facing role in either the primary or secondary education sector

  • Recent experience of working in an on-site IT based, Customer Service environment

  • Plan, prepare and deliver outstanding lessons to provide students with the opportunity to achieve their maximum potential in areas of ICT, Computer Science and Design Technology

  • Ensure that all lessons taught are engaging and stimulating taking into account individual needs of the students
